Considering
Photoluminescent Exit Signs?
|
Then
Consider these 7 Great Ideas
-
Working on a new
building project? Instead of LED exit signs or
radioactive Tritium exit signs use photoluminescent
exit signs for a safer, less expensive and greener
installation.
-
Many Architects and
Engineers don’t know that photoluminescent exit signs
can be used in high level applications.
For several
years now, photoluminescent exit signs, compliant to NFPA and most building codes, have been installed as
high level exit signs in hotels, condos, schools,
corporate centers and parking garages.
-
Change out radioactive
Tritium exit signs to photoluminescent exit signs to
minimize building occupant exposure to radioactivity
and to address disposal issues now. Remember, the US
Government has banned Tritium exit signs in military
facilities. Additionally, they are not allowed in
many schools and corporate centers.
-
Replacing
the back-up battery packs and light bulbs in
electrically powered exit signs is time consuming and
expensive. Not keeping up with this maintenance and
code-mandatory testing can marginalize the safety of
building occupants. Avoid these problems by
installing photoluminescent exit signs in hallways,
corridors, offices and parking garages.
-
In areas where
lighting is controlled by timers or sensors, install
photoluminescent exit signs adjacent to lighting that
is on emergency lighting circuits – circuits that are
energized all the time.
-
Most parking garages
are illuminated with ample fluorescent lighting. To
save installation, operating and maintenance costs,
install photoluminescent exit signs instead of LED
and radioactive Tritium exit signs.
-
Smart architects and
engineers specify photoluminescent exit signs with 75
foot viewing distances to save installation costs.
